Pancasila adalah ideologi dasar negara dan prinsip dasar kebangsaan Indonesia yang menjadi landasan bagi pembangunan dan kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara. Pancasila terdiri dari lima sila yang meliputi Ketuhanan Yang Maha Esa, Kemanusiaan yang Adil dan Beradab, Persatuan Indonesia, Kerakyatan Yang Dipimpin oleh Hikmat Kebijaksanaan dalam Permusyawaratan Perwakilan, dan Keadilan Sosial bagi Seluruh Rakyat Indonesia. Sementara itu, prinsip dasar kebangsaan Indonesia terdiri dari sepuluh prinsip yang menjadi dasar dan pedoman dalam membangun bangsa Indonesia yang maju, adil, dan sejahtera. Melalui pemahaman dan pengamalan hakikat Pancasila serta prinsip dasar kebangsaan Indonesia, kita bisa memperkokoh kebhinekaan dan menjaga persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa Indonesia. Latar belakang diterbitkannya Pancasila dan prinsip dasar kebangsaan Indonesia adalah karena kebutuhan negara Indonesia untuk memiliki landasan yang kuat dalam membangun bangsa dan negara yang merdeka, bersatu, dan maju.
