INOVASI PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM BERBASIS MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES

Pembelajaran PAI yang diselenggarakan di sekolah umumnya memiliki permasalahan metodologi dalam pembelajaran sehingga kurang dapat menarik lebih dalam belajar tentang agama Islam itu sendiri. Dengan adanya hal tersebut, dinilai perlu adanya inovasi dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam. Sebagai suatu aktifitas yang dilakukan dari semenjak lahir sampai liang lahat (HR. Ibnu Majah) pendidikan mestilah senantiasa dilakukan pembaruan (inovasi). Dalam upaya melakukan inovasi pembelajara, guru sebagai pengajar, guru menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran dengan Multiple Intelligences (kecerdasan majemuk). Salah satu konsep yang digagas dan dikembangkan oleh Howard Gardner seorang psikolog terkemuka dari University of Harvard. Pembelajaran berbasis Multiple Intelligences merupakan suatu bentuk inovasi pembelajaran yang dapat menjadi pilihan bagi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam di Indonesia. Mengaplikasikan pembelajaran berbasis Multiple Intellegences berarti menggunakan pendekatan interdisipliner dalam mengembangkan muatan materi pembelajaran, menggunakan multimodel pembelajaran, dan menggunakan penilaian autentik dalam evaluasi pembelajarannya. Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk mewadahi keberagaman kecerdasan yang dimiliki oleh siswa.
